Jake Peavy pitched seven strong innings of three hit ball and had a RBI single and a sacrifice fly against his hunting buddy Roy Oswalt.  Tadahito Iguchi went 3-for-5 and Paul McAnulty had two base hits in their first Opening Day start for the Padres. Tony Clark also had an RBI pinch hit single.  Someone owes Kooz a steak dinner for ripping the ball of Roy Oswalt’s thigh in the first inning.  AGON, BARD and GREENE recorded two hits each.  The only negatives from the game where Michael Bourn’s two easy steals and the number of runners the Padres stranded on base.  Tonight Chris Young faces Brandon Backe in game 2 of the 4 game series.
