Tony Clark and the Padres reached agreement on a $900,000 one-year contract. Clark is from San Diego were he was a standout basketball and baseball star at Christian High School. Clark will be used as a late inning pinch hitter, back up for Adrian Gonzalez and there is a small possibility for some outfield duty. Rumor has it he been taking fly balls in the off-season.
